I am a Master's student in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology at the UvA and VU, working in the van Steensel group with Oscar García Blay and Vini Franceschini-Santos. My project asks how the autonomous activity of enhancers and promoters, measured on reporters and predicted by the PARM model, relates to transcription in its native context, and where sequence-and-contact descriptions fall short.
I did my Bachelor's in Molecular Biology in Crete, where I wrote a stochastic simulator of transcription, and I still build models of polymerase kinetics at IMBB-FORTH. Earlier I worked on spatia multi-omics at LUMC with Erasmus+ funding.
