Bas van Steensel

I am a molecular biologist with a strong interest in gene regulation. During my bachelor at the Amsterdam University College and master at Radboud University Nijmegen, I became very interested in gene regulation. I performed my final master internship at the group of Arnaud Krebs at EMBL, where I combined computational and experimental work to study transcription initiation.

In July 2021 I returned to Amsterdam to join the lab of Bas van Steensel at the NKI. Here, I will study the interaction between promoters and enhancers, again combining computational and experimental work.
