As a PhD student in the lab of Jos Jonkers, my aim is to develop (patient derived) xenograft as well as genetically engineered models for breast cancer by using mice and rats. The focus thereby is on models for Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS), a potential precursor for breast lesions, which can be deployed for better understanding of the disease and treatment strategy testing.
