I am an abdominal radiologist working in the NKI-AVL since 2019. My secondary area of expertise is breast imaging. I obtained my PhD on MRI and MR guided biopsy in prostate cancer diagnosis and management (active surveillance) at Radboud University Nijmegen under supervision of Prof. Jelle Barentsz (2013). After general radiology training I completed an abdominal imaging fellowship at Amsterdam UMC. I believe in the future of oncologic imaging to gain cancer stage shift at diagnosis and to enable patient tailored treatment. I aim to combine my clinical work with continuing my research on the role of imaging in prostate cancer.
