My work focusses on the development of personalized online adaptive radiotherapy.

Previously, I worked on image guidance for pancreatic cancer and subsequently, as project leader, on a KWF-funded project for image-guided adaptive radiotherapy for gastric cancer. This was after many years (and a PhD) in the field of biophysics: optical tweezers, confocal microscopy, AFM, image analysis, structural proteins.

Data analysis/visualization and scientific writing have my special interest. Since 2021, I act as associate section editor (physics section) for the International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics.
