Natalie Scholes

In 2026, I started my lab at the NKI. The group specializes in chemical induced proximity to rewire cellular signaling with the ultimate aim of identifying novel therapeutic avenues to treat cancer.

Originally trained as a chemist at the LMU in Munich (Germany), I finished my MSc and PhD degrees at Imperial College London (UK) focusing on the intersection of computational and experimental approaches. After that I joined the Winter lab at CeMM, Vienna (Austria) where I started diving into non-obvious small molecule actions, specifically looking into when inhibitors turn into degraders.
