Núria López­-Bigas is an ICREA Research Professor at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine and associate professor at the University Pompeu Fabra. Her research focuses on  the identification of cancer driver mutations, genes and pathways across tumor types and in understanding the mutational processes leading to the accumulation of mutations in cancer cells. Núria López­-Bigas was elected member of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) in 2016. She has funding from the European Research Council Consolidator Grant (ERC-consolidator) since 2016. From 2020 she is a board member of the European Association of Cancer Research.
