Oncode Institute

The Dutch collaboration to outsmart cancer

Oncode Institute is an independent virtual research institute, in which more than 800 cancer researchers from 12 academic centers in the Netherlands collaborate in groundbreaking fundamental research. Oncode Institute aims to accelerate the process of translating their fundamental findings into new cancer treatments.

The Netherlands Cancer Institute currently hosts 19 Oncode research groups.

Oncode Institute was launched in 2017 and is funded by the Dutch Cancer Society, the Dutch Research Council (NWO) ZonMW,  Health-Holland and three ministries: the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sports.
