About us
Where science meets inspired minds
Founded in 1913, the Netherlands Cancer Institute brings together scientific research and patient care with one shared purpose: to improve the future for people affected by cancer.
By combining fundamental, translational and clinical research with dedicated patient care, we create an environment in which discovery can move closer to better diagnosis, treatment and outcomes. What makes the NKI distinctive is not only what we study, but how we work: by connecting insights from the lab to questions from the clinic, and by giving science the focus, collaboration and freedom it needs to lead to progress.
