Research Technician

Project information:

The technician will join our laboratory on research work of a novel ATM inhibitor being potential radiosensitizer. Based on our recent work (A. Dohmen et al., Oncotarget 2017), we aim to explore the molecular mechanism of this inhibitor in vitro and in preclinical setting. We will focus on the cell signaling, cell death modalities, and metabolism induced by this ATM inhibitor. The daily work includes in vitro cell culture, biochemistry experiments and in vivo mouse experiments.
 
 

Your profile

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic technician with a strong interest to cell biology and oncology research. The candidate should have a master (MSc) degree in biology, biomedical sciences at HLO or University level. Delicate cell culture and Western blot skills are required. Multi-color flow cytometry and a ‘Article 12’ or ‘Article 9’ for animal experiment are strong advantages.
 

Your career opportunities and terms of employment

The technician will be employed in the research group of Dr. Lotje Zuur and will work under direct supervision of Dr. Xiaohang Qiao. We offer a contract for 2 years, with a possibility for extension to 4-5 years. The gross salary per month will range from € 2.144,- to € 3.490,- according to FWG-function group 45 or 50, depending on education and previous experience.
 The terms of employment will be in accordance with the CAO Ziekenhuizen (Collective Labour Agreement for Hospitals).
