Ningqing Liu receives Veni grant

20170808 Ningquing Liu

Researcher Ningqing Liu from Elzo de Wit's group at the Netherlands Cancer Institute has received a Veni grant from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). This grant offers young researchers who have recently obtained their PhD the opportunity to conduct independent research and further develop their own scientific ideas for a period of three years.

Ningqing Liu is one of the 154 grant recipients that were selected from this year's 1127 applicants. With the grant money of 250.000 euro he will use advanced sequencing techniques to investigate the mutations and molecular processes involved in colon cancer. By unravelling these mechanisms he aims to eventually improve clinical diagnostics and treatment.
