Through our research we aim to gain a better understanding of the cellular responses to damage inflicted to the genome. Our ultimate goal is to identify vulnerabilities of cancer cells that could be exploited to selectively target the fitness of cancer cells.
We focus on understanding the determinants of cellular sensitivity to DNA double stranded breaks (such as dose, location, repair pathway choice etc.), as well as the effects of larger genomic rearrangements, such as whole chromosome missegregations resulting in aneuploidy, on cellular fitness.
