Obtained my Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences with focus on Immunity, Infectious Diseases and Tolerance from Leiden University.
As part of my Master’s study, I performed an internship in translational immunology at the Department of Rheumatology (Leiden University Medical Center) and in fundamental immunology in the Group of M. Dustin (Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, Oxford).
I performed my final Master’s internship in the lab of Ton Schumacher (Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam). Under the supervision of Daniela Thommen, I investigated the immune cellular composition of human tumors that were clinically unresponsive to immune checkpoint blockade and aimed at inducing immune cell recruitment into these tumors ex vivo.
Premaster’s year for the Master Biomedical Sciences at Leiden University.
Obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Medical Laboratory Research from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Enschede.
