As part of my Master’s study, I performed an internship in translational immunology at the Department of Rheumatology (Leiden University Medical Center) and in fundamental immunology in the Group of M. Dustin (Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, Oxford).
I performed my final Master’s internship in the lab of Ton Schumacher (Netherlands Cancer Institute, Amsterdam). Under the supervision of Daniela Thommen, I investigated the immune cellular composition of human tumors that were clinically unresponsive to immune checkpoint blockade and aimed at inducing immune cell recruitment into these tumors ex vivo.
