Postdoctoral Fellow

Experience

I obtained my Master in developmental biology from the University of Zürich in 2011. During my PhD in the lab of Konrad Basler (2013-2017), I studied nuclear Wnt-signaling components in embryonic development and the role of Wnt-signaling in squamous cell carcinomas. I stayed for a Postdoc to generate mouse models via CRISPR/Cas9 and applied the knowledge gained from the embryonic studies in cancer organoids.

In 2019, I joined the lab of Jos Jonkers as Postdoc to study the role of the innate immune system in mammary carcinoma initiation, progression and metastasis and the feasibility of targeting these pathways for treatment.
