Laurel Schunselaar

Ph.D. student

In October 2012, I obtained my master degree in Technical medicine.
I performed my master internship, about primary tumor cultures of malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM), in the lab of Sjaak Neefjes. After my master internship, I continued working at the project as a phd-student. Since the move of Sjaak Neefjes to the LUMC,  I'm working in the lab of Wilbert Zwart.
My main project is about personalized medicine for patients with mesothelioma. With chemosensitivity screens on primary tumor cultures we determine second line treatment for patients.
This project is in collaboration with the thoracic oncology department, under supervision of Paul Baas and Sjaak Neefjes.
