Emilia Pulver

Ph.D. Student

I received my B.S in Biological Sciences from Cornell University. Afterwards I worked in the Integrative Neurobiology Laboratory at McLean Hospital conducting pre-clinical behavioral drug addiction studies. I joined Sangeeta Bhatia's nanotechnology laboratory at MIT's Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research. There, I investigated targeted therapeutics and nanoparticle delivery into pancreatic tumors, as well as synthetic urinary biomarkers and PET/CT imaging for early detection of tumor metastasis.

As a PhD student in the Jonkers lab, I will use non-germline CRISP-Cas9 approaches to test triple negative breast cancer susceptibility genes and engineer BRCA1 conditional detectable alleles and mouse models.
