Kok, M

Marleen Kok

Postdoctoral fellow

After finishing my medical studies, I did my PhD in the field of breast cancer genomics. After my residency in internal medicine/medical oncology, I was selected for a 4-year translational fellowship of the Dutch Cancer Society and I joined the labs of Leisha Emens /Drew Pardoll (Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, USA) as a postdoc working on cancer immunology.

My mission is to find effective immunotherapeutic strategies to treat breast cancer as well as predictive biomarkers to select the right patients for these treatments. Besides being PI of innovative investigator initiated immunotherapy trials, I am involved in several translational projects to get a better understanding of the anti-cancer immune response in breast tumors.
