Personal details

My bioinformatics research is focused on different post-transcriptional layers of gene regulation, including microRNAs, RNA-binding proteins, alternative polyadenylation (APA) and protein translation, and understanding how mis-regulation of these layers is associated with human disease, especially cancer. My study of these gene regulation mechanisms heavily utilizes novel deep-sequencing techniques.
