Mathias Eder

PhD student

I did my master´s in Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Applied Sciences in Vienna. For my master thesis I was working in the group of Jacqueline Jacobs at the NKI focusing on telomere damage and genomic instability. After my graduation in January 2018, I started working as a postgraduate researcher at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research in Basel, where I mainly focused on gene regulation, transcription factors and melanoma. During this time I became very interested in gene regulation and chromatin genomics. Therefore I joined the group of Bas van Steensel as a PhD student in July 2019.
