Personal details

Experience

I performed my PhD in the group of Oliver Söhnlein, first, at the Amsterdam Medical Center (now UMC), and later, at the Institute for Cardiovascular Prevention (IPEK), at the Ludwig Maximilians-Universität in Munich. I mainly worked on the role of neutrophils in cardiometabolic disorders: obesity and atherosclerosis. Here, I researched the impact of neutrophils on the disease onset and progression to find potential targets and mechanisms for treatment.

On February 2020, I joined the group of Prof. Karin de Visser. I will continue my research concerning the impact of neutrophils, however, now in an oncology setting.
