My current research is focusing on the application of Coherent Anti-Stocks Raman spectroscopy (CARS) to differentiation of the healthy breast tissue from the cancerous tissue. Even though, breast cancer treatment achieved great success in the past decades, up to 10% surgeries result in positive margins of the resected tumors. CARS is a non-invasive spectroscopic method capable of revealing chemical composition of the material at high spacious and temporal resolution, making it a great candidate for an intra-operative support tool.
