Our research is dedicated to improve cancer immunotherapy by understanding how it modulates the immune system and tumor microenvironment of head and neck cancer patients and melanoma patients. Your project will focus on translational research, being part of state-of-the-art clinical intervention trials conducted in the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital by analyzing bulk sequencing or single-cell sequencing data of patient tumor biopsies or peripheral blood.

The candidate must have a good knowledge in multidimensional data analysis in biology; can define the most appropriate statistical bioinformatic approaches; and be proficient in high-level languages like Python or R. Familiarity with existing systems biology methods and software, and experience of collaboration with biologists for solving concrete biological problems would represent as strong advantages. Excellent communication skills and team spirit, and a capacity to work in autonomy are essential. All data analyses will be intensively discussed with co-investigators including clinicians.
