The Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI) and the Association of Comprehensive Cancer Centers (VIKC) will organise the ‘International Symposium of Cancer Survivorship Care’ about trends and developments in cancer survivorship care and rehabilitation.

VIKC Symposium ‘Cancer Rehabilitation’
During the VIKC-symposium the main topic of interest is the national guideline Cancer Rehabilitation, that will be published in December 2010. Two international keynote-speakers, prof. Patricia A. Ganz and dr. Melinda L. Irwin, will present their vision on cancer survivorship care and cancer rehabilitation. The afternoon session is organised for the Dutch health care professionals, policy makers and researchers and focuses on the peer review and implementation of the national guideline.

OECI International Symposium ‘Trends and Developments in Survivorship Care’
The OECI symposium on cancer survivorship care will be held for a European audience. We have two recognized keynote speakers on this topic: prof. Patricia A. Ganz and dr. Melinda L. Irwin. They will give a presentation on cancer survivorship care and the state of the art of physical rehabilitation in the US. In the afternoon different speakers from various European countries will present best practices in their country. With a panel discussion, chaired by prof. Neil Aaronson, the symposium will be closed.
