Technology Transfer

The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of the NKI-AVL manages the identification, protection and exploitation of Intellectual Property (IP) created by the scientists of the NKI-AVL and supports (commercial) research collaborations. This helps to advance the mission of the NKI-AVL to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment by transferring the results of fundamental research to parties that can bring these to the benefit of patients.

The TTO is set up to manage IP in such a fashion that it does not impede scientific research. It is responsible for patenting, licensing, consultancy, scientific collaborations and research agreements. The TTO is the first point of contact for licensing requests and research collaborations. When commercial partners are involved in EU or other research consortia, the TTO assists with consortium agreements and project IP management.

Mission
To provide a professional service in commercialising Intellectual Property and Research Capabilities generated by the scientists of the NKI-AVL.
