Prof. Dr. Ton Berns, director of research and group leader Molecular Genetics at the Netherlands Cancer Institute - Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital, received a KWO fund of two million euros from the Dutch Cancer Society. Prof. Berns will invest the fund in better treatment of lung cancer and mesothelioma.
The Queen Wilhelmina Research Program (KWO) is a fund of a maximum of two million euros for scientific cancer research for a period of six years. It enables excellent researchers to do multidisciplinary research.
