The Dr. Josef Steiner Cancer Research Foundation announced today that dr. Reuven Agami from the department of Tumorbiology has won the Dr. Josef Steiner Cancer Research Award 2007 for his project "Identification and characterization of micro RNAs with the capacity to affect tumor growth and responsiveness to therapy".
Hans Lüscher, President of the Foundation and a professor at the University of Bern: “I'm extremely pleased that the Foundation has found a convincing and strong prize winner who will advance the field of cancer research in the spirit of Doctor Steiner.”
The prize ceremony will take place on November 2nd 2007 in Biel, Switzerland.
